This was my absolute favorite comic book when I was growing up. The pert and inquisitive Lois Lane is transmogrified into a super-intelligent freak with a gigantic bald head... talk about the best and the worst!
Years ago, my cousin saw a copy of this at a comic book convention... it sold for $40,000! My, how I could have used that money... but my Mom methodically threw all of my comics away the minute my back was turned. If I hid them in my school bag, she’d seek and destroy. Under the mattress? Too easy!
Years after that... I was visiting with a female friend and noticed her plotting to trash her son’s comics. I chided her, telling her he could one day pay his college tuition with those comics. Sadly, she didn’t care. I hate those things, she said with a scowl and a huff.
I wonder why women are so hostile against comic books? Anybody out there know? Bueller? Bueller?
