R.I.P. Rue McClanahan

Another of the Golden Girls has exited the planet. Sole survivor, Betty White was quoted by BBC News as saying:

I treasured our relationship... It hurts more than I ever thought it would, if that’s even possible.

According to Variety, McClanahan died of a stroke at 1:00 a.m. this morning, according to her manager Barbara Lawrence.

McClanahan had a long an illustrious career on Broadway, winning an Obie award.  She went on to do a number of memorable television roles in series such as All in the Family, Maude, and others before her coup de grace as one of the Golden Girls.
