R.I.P. Vonetta McGee

Queen of so-called Blaxploitation, Vonetta McGee shared the screen with a diverse cadre of actors that included Clint Eastwood, Robert Blake and Richard Roundtree.

Her career started in Europe before she migrated to memorable film and television roles here in the United States.  Hers was an intense talent limited only by the material she was offered.

She suddenly exited the planet at the age of 65 after experiencing cardiac arrest. She will be missed.

Details at The Los Angeles Times and The New York Times.
